The minimum damage on some of these complex traps is a bit too high for early levels. Increasing the minimum level can reduce the change that they spawn early game (generally in a vault).
The poison spore radius can quickly scale up to 7-8 hexes range. This can effectively wall off a large section of a level and is beyond the range of wands of trap destruction.
